Lace Fence

Lace Fence, 2015, Laura Wills, Commissioned by Mt Gambier Council,

This design portrays both a modern and historical train platform. On the northern side of the platform, a late 1800's South Australian Railways Y Class locomotive is depicted, indicative of the type that frequented Mount Gambier in the early days. The ‘Lace Fence’ technology used for this artwork was developed by Dutch designer Joep Verhoeven.
