Rivertime mural

Rivertime, 2019, Laura Wills assisted by Rebecca McEwan, Port Noarlunga South.

Rivertime mural was created specifically for the site, referencing the nearby Onkaparinga River. The native plants depicted in the mural are Samphire and Kangaroo Grass and the weeds are Prickly Pear and Kykuyu Grass. Other elements in the mural include surfing, kayak, fish, bees, map of the estuary on a kite and a flowing stone river pattern. The Kaurna words in the mural are kardlaparti- bee, pari- river and Ngangkiparingga- women’s river place.
